Have dinner with Ken Duncan

The Power of One - An evening with Ken Duncan

I just received an invitation to this event.  Unfortunately I won't be able to attend but I wanted to extend the offer to my readers as I'm positive it will be a wonderful evening.

If you don't know Ken Duncan he is an incredibly talented Australian photographer, whose work I greatly admire.  You can see his amazing photos on the website www.kenduncan.com

If you are interested in the opportunity to spend an evening with him, hearing about some of his adventures, enjoying a delicious meal, and helping an extremely worthwhile cause at the same time then this is your opportunity.

You can join Ken at a very special event for a truly awesome charity - the Destiny Haven Fundraising Event on Friday, April 16. Ken has been a keen supporter of Destiny Haven for a long time because the work they're doing with women in dire need is so inspirational.

Destiny Haven is a residential life skills training program for women with life controlling issues such as addictions, eating disorders and self harm. It opened in February 2007 and is situated on a 42 acre property in the picturesque Hunter Valley. It receives no government or corporate funding, and this evening is being held to raise funds to build additional staff accommodation.

In just over three years Destiny Haven has helped many women change their lives for the better.

At this event Ken will be doing a major audio-visual presentation of his images on his massive panoramic screen, and telling the stories of how he captured some of his best photos. There will also be plenty of lucky door prizes, raffles and blind and live auctions with major items. It promises to be a fantastic night.

When: Friday, April 16, 2010
Where: Buttai Barn, 162 Lings Road, Buttai, NSW
Time: 6.30pm for a 7pm start
Cost: $95 per person or $700 for a table of eight
Dress: Semi-formal cocktail attire
RSVP: Friday, April 2, 2010

Luscious mocktails and canapes will be served upon arrival and a sumptuous three course gourmet meal will be served from 7pm. This will be an alcohol-free event. Sparkling grape juice, apple cider and soft drinks will be served throughout the evening.

To book your tickets, call Julia or Janine on (02) 4996 5558.
